At Sunset Country Dental, we understand that dental emergencies can happen unexpectedly. Our team provides care for urgent dental concerns and strives to see emergency patients as soon as possible, based on availability and the nature of the emergency.

What is considered a dental emergency?

A dental emergency may include, but is not limited to:

  • A broken or fractured tooth
  • A knocked-out (avulsed) tooth
  • A dislodged crown, veneer, or dental restoration
  • Severe or uncontrolled toothache or dental abscess
  • Uncontrolled intra-oral bleeding or hemorrhage
  • Trauma involving the mouth, teeth, or soft tissues
  • A foreign object lodged between teeth or in the soft tissue
  • Sudden or unexplained changes in tooth colour
  • Non-healing ulcers or lesions in the mouth
  • Damage to orthodontic appliances or dentures causing discomfort or injury
